I was teamed up with the divine Zeldaloofor this project. She told me about the Grimm Fairytale about One Eye, Two Eyes, and Three Eyes. This story was new to me, and it's about three sisters living deep in the forest, eac
h with a different number of eyes. Zeldaloo told me what she liked about the story was that One Eye and Three Eyes were considered the beautiful sisters worthy of all the better things in life, while Two Eyes was the outcast, only getting the scraps the other two left behind. I loved the idea of 3 sisters with different amounts of eyes, and I took this on as an opportunity to figure out how to make dolls, which was something I had been wanting to do, but in a slightly funky way.

Now, I don't want to give away how the story ends, but it involves a magic goat, a fairy godmother, and a golden apple. Oh, and a handsome knight. It basically has all the best Grimm qualities we've come to know and love.
These ladies are ragdolls that remind me very much of my old Raggedy Ann I had as a kid, except moodier. They each measure about 18 inches long, and are made of lots of different quilting cottons and funky yarn, and they are available in my shop:

They are so wonderful. I love them.
They all look so great! I love One-Eye the best. Most of all I love their high-heels and their eyelashes!
