This picture was taken on Fathers Day, 1979. I'm sitting with my grandpa in his backyard while he holds my 10 day old brother, Kurt, in one arm and Peter in the other. Check me out in my Sierra Club tee!
Kurt is in Brooklyn now. Grandpa is in the great beyond. Peter is who knows where. And where am I? The house that was my grandparents' was bought by my parents when I was 8, and as of about a month ago, it was bought by me. So this project, one of childhood memories, is an appropriate one for me as I learn to live in my childhood home with my own children, balancing past with the present and the future.
