Iron Chef Challenge: MIRRORS ....

what shimmers and reflects more than a fish? water perhaps, or mirrors themselves ...
i ordered some shisha glass and taught myself how to hand embroider it ...

so thinking along-side-the-box i came up with the odea of 'glazed pork' and created a nice fat pig with a shiny embroidered bottom. he was also to have a seasonal vegetables accompaniment and an apple in his mouth - more of him on my blog - but he ran away and refused to be plated, and as a vegetarian i just couldn't force him ... i will pop him in my etsy shop soon, dear old GP !

so OK, here's a shimmery shimmery fish with squeezable lemony wedges - two because hes a big fish, and the lemon wedges have reflective fabric on them too to allude to that juicy flesh ...

fish is plain reflective fabric on one side and has a raggyrat lable behind his dorsal fin. he features mirrored stretch fabric, textured foil fabric and some interference-type reflective fabric over a fun cotton print. oh yes and sequins, and a bit of machine embroidery. yummy !

the knife is made from a baby-safe mirror taken from a work out toy - i also saved some other parts of this toy - and a woolen handle with sequins as the bits that look shiny and hold knives together ...

that eye is backed by mirror- dots fabric and is over 30 years old ... he only has one eye because he has been lightly steamed to get the best flavour and has to lie down on a plate now. lie down fish. he is very fresh as any fish monger will tell you, from the colour of his scales ...

now if you eat him all up you can have a piece of chocolate ... :-)
