Where Creativity is Born

Everyone needs a space of their own - particularly one where they can hole themselves away for hours on end when the inspiration hits and feverishly slave away on a plushy idea. Recently some of the plush teamers shared their workspaces with us. Some are cluttered with amazing toys and treats in every nook and cranny. Some are meticulously organized - a place for everything, and everything in it's place...

Sometimes we must be creative with finding the space - closets, kitchen tables, corners of bedrooms, underground bunkers (well, I don't know anyone personally who makes stuff in bomb shelters, but I'm sure *someone* has in the history of the universe).

Some of us are lucky to have rooms devoted to crafting... stocked with yards of colorful fabric, sewing machines, plastic eyes and other sparkily treasures, and a million implements of crafty destruction.

Admittedly, as someone who a) lives alone and b) who has as studio solely for making stuff when the notion hits me - I am notoriously unorganized. When I know that people will be coming to my house to visit, it is the first place that I devote my energy to untangling. Felt is often found in the sink, in my hair, down the couch, stuck to my butt. I stick needles in the arm of my couch and then forget about them... well, until a friend comes over and jabs themselves and strings of obscenities flow from their mouths in my general direction. Having my own space that I can just hang out in the middle of the night, drink tea, listen to music, burn candles and sew is one of the most wonderful things in my life.

It's great to check out other people's workspaces not only to get fantastic tricks for new ways to keep things organized, but also to get a glimpse into the magical places where plush awesomeness comes to life!
