This is a little peek into what my studio space looks like - I am lucky to have a room to myself to do all my creating in. I have a second-hand sewing table to do all my pattern-making, fabric cutting and sewing on. This is the sewing table that my Father-in-law made for my Mother-in-law over 30 years ago, and it's still in amazing shape! I was so excited when they offered it to me - I used to have my sewing machine on a folding table, which was fine and did the trick for years, but this works out so much better. :)
As you can see, I'm a plush collector and fabric-aholic, but I try to keep things as organized as I can. (When I'm in the middle of a big project or if it's the Christmas rush, things get pretty messy, I'm not gonna lie. ;D) I have a set of drawers that I got from my local thrift store that hold all my shipping supplies, promotional materials, sketchbooks, etc. Using simple shelves from Ikea that I painted to match the walls, I created a bunch of space for my plush collection, although it has grown to include other rooms in the house. :D It's very inspirational to me to look up at my walls while I'm sewing at the machine and see all this fantastic plush from artists around the world. Looking at their work every day is what gets me focused, inspired, and motivated to keep creating- and makes me smile as I work.
