I received my first sewing machine from my Mom when I was in high school. I begged her for it so I could customize my clothes (translate: sew patches on my ever-widening bell-bottom jeans). The machine lay dormant for years while I was away at college, and was rediscovered in 2007, when I made by first plush pieces (which were, strangely, mostly weapon-themed; think maces and planks with nails sticking out of them).
I was experiencing some health issues at the time and couldn't leave the house much. PterodactylPants and my cute/creepy plush creations saved me from going completely stir-crazy. Six years later, while my health is tip-top, my passion for plush making hasn't abated one bit (and I still make plush weapons from time to time).
